After an awesome trip to Singapore, I am finally back in Norway and had totally forgot how cold anything below 0 degrees is…
After travelling 8 hours to Singapore, 8 hours to Dubai and 7 hours to Oslo, I would say you get pretty sick of flying. However, we were super lucky getting some extra free seats next to us, making the flight more bearable.
Singapore was amazing. I saw so many places that I have previously only seen in pictures, like the Marina Bay Sands Hotel (with the pool on top), Gardens by the Bay and Singapore itself. It was so different than what I had imagined it to be, but definitely in a positive way. Because Andre has been to Singapore multiple times as his father is Singaporean, he showed me around the city and we got to see a lot of places normal tourists probably wouldn’t know about.
I must say I really loved Singapore Zoo, as you were so close to the animals and you could really see they were treated well. Definitely worth a visit if you are planning on going!
After 5 days in Singapore and walking around 25.000 steps a day (15 km), my feet were pretty dead and I didn’t feel too bad about just sitting on a plane for a ‘few’ hours. Next stop was Dubai, with a 6 hour lay-over before departing to Oslo.
However, I had totally forgot how cold Norway gets in the winter time… My biggest mistake was that I didn’t dress up properly when going from one place to another – even if I’m not being outside for long. That is how you get sick isn’t it?
I managed to rug up better in this picture however, but I can definitely feel the cold approaching me slowly.
While I’m in Norway I will celebrate Christmas, travel to Ørsta for a weekend to visit family and my grandparents, and hang out with friends that I haven’t seen in a long time. It is good to be back!
I will keep you updated during my stay in Norway. Stay tuned.
